Stratagy ES running on a MAS

Calls with out caller ID leave a message and the email comes "from" [email protected]. Hoping to change it so it says something not quite so SPAM-like, such as outsidecaller@ or NoCallerID@.

If you look in the Stratagy System Parameters, there is a field in there that will attach whatever you want it to say for the messages that get sent without a conventional name, in this case it would be those without caller ID info. I forget what the parameter is called but it should be pretty easy to find since it will say "Unknown". Typically those emails should come through with the caller ID @vmserver.com, ex. [email protected]. If there is no caller ID, Stratagy will tag it with whatever name you have in that parameter, ex. [email protected].

Even those valid looking address that start with numbers may be considured spammy by some mail servers. I found that feature useful for fixing the address.

How do you setup the email to display the caller id? I have caller id and it will display on the phone but not the email.

sys_play_caller_id default is 3
Caller ID should show in the UM
If 0 1 & 2 are Off
If 1 only 2 is off
If set to 2 only 1 is off
If set to 3 All are enabled
If set to 4 only 4 is on
If set to 5 only 3 is on
If set to 6 all is disabled
1 = TUI, 2 = UM Message, 3 = LCD, 4 = UM Envelope

Sys play caller id. We use option 2, which shows it in the display and in the email, but does not audibly read it to you.

Hmmm, our sys_play_caller_id is set to 2 but the caller id does not come through in the email?

Do you want it to play when the MB is accessed via the TUI or through the GUI?
