ok so im a total nub when it comes to phones so lets see if i can explain this.
its a dkt2020-sd and, the problem is, one of the lines for some reason started blinking like someone was on hold(but no one is). if you push the button like you want to make a call or pick up the call, sometimes it puts u to another line, sometimes it doesnt do anything. it is stopping me from using that line and it wont let that line ring. just wondering how i could clear this blinking and get my phone to work right again! any help is much appreciated, thanks!

Assuming you are talking line appearance on your phone, check the other phones, do they show the same thing? If so, you will need to check the line where it enters the system. Would this line be shared with anything else such as a fax machine or CC machine? Lots of variables here so you might want to set up a service call with your vendor.

If it isn't happening with the other phones and they are presumably programmed the same, then its probably a bad phone. Swap the trouble phone out with a known working one and see if the problem persists. It still could be a bad port off the system. The DKT2XXX series phones are quite an older model of Toshiba phone, solid phone but they will go bad eventually. Could be a bad hookswitch.

Just curious, but have you checked that phone's flexible button assignment? What code does it show? Were the LED lit gree or red? I just hope its a bad hook switch problem which is very common here.

What system is it connected to 280 , Ctx ? , is the light constanlty flashing ? I would suggest unplugging the handset then re-plug to see if this clears it, if not then reboot the system.
