We have several CIX/CTX100s with RDDU cards installed. Some of the cards are RDDU1A and some are RDDU2A. I am trying to install some secondary protectors on those cards since it appears they are prone to lightning strikes. On the 3 sites I have tried, only 1 works. That site has a RDDU1A card while the other two have RDDU2A. We are installing ITW Linx 75 Volt protectors that were recommended by our dealer. The 2 sites that don't work, as soon as I install the protector across the 66 block, the trunk lights up and busys out, with or without the ground attached. I tried using the known good protectors at one of the bad sites and vice versa. The problem stays with the sites. I haven't tried swapping RDDU cards between the sites yet, and I don't know that it will be possible since the sites will be without DID while I am in transit. Anyone have any ideas??

On the RDDU you have P101 ~ 104, this Adjusts for dial pulsing at different loop lengths (sensitivity of the circuit). This is something you may need to adjust a couple times per circuit.
