First time to put direct line appearances on 3020SDs with a CIX100. When you place a call from the line button the system will not allow you to place the call on hold or transfer the call to another extension. If immediate cut-through is enable on the line it works fine but the redial feature does not work when you do this. What software gremlin is at work here by trying to bypass DR and has software been changed in a later release to solve these issues? System is CIX100/AR4.10 MN017.00. Thanks for any advice!

Might be prog 300 Answer Supervision. If you have "Recieved" then switch it to "Not Recieved", or vice versa.

They are set for received so I will switch and test.

Thanks for the idea!

I changed the answer supervision back to default and removed the cut-through feature but still same problem. You can't put a call on hold or transfer it to another extension. Anybody got any more ideas? Thanks!

Are you trying to transfer the call just after the outgoing call has connected?
Are you using PSTN or ISDN GCO keys?

Maybe something is wrong with the public diaiing plan and the system doesn't know that you have dialed a valid and complete number? What kind of number are you trying to dial, centrex with a 9, 1 + 10 digits, 1 + 7 digits, or just 7 digits?

I had the same problem before and the answer and release supervision solved the problem . Set both to not received and see if that helps.

Answer supervision should not be on for your trunks. This sounds like a dialplan issue as stated above.

Release supervision was the problem. DR was disabled already for this class used. The problem was on analog lines and not T1/PRI trunks. Thanks a bunch to everyone for the ideas and especially Steve for the one that worked!
