I'm trying to setup a TIS Professional Voice Model TIS 16 on a Toshiba CTX28 phone system, and I'm getting no help anywhere. Does anyone have any setup manuals for the TIS 16, config software and or updated software for the TIS 16 I can get my hands on? I would be very very very grateful.
Thank you

You should be able to find a manual from the "manuals" link at the top of the page.
Curious - do you know which version you have?

I will check the version tomorrow and I found a manual for installing and administering the TIS16 however now I am unable to find the proper code for the telephone system type, the table in the manual does not list my phone system. My phone system is a Toshiba Strata CTX28; the table only has the following options
1 9016 Toshiba DK 16, 56, 96
2 9024 Toshiba DK 14, 16e, 40, 40i, 280, 424, 424i Toshiba CTX 100, CTX 670
3 9424 Toshiba DK 40, 40i, 280, 424, 424i Toshiba CTX 100, CTX 670
4 9008 Toshiba DK 8
anyone know the system type for the CTX28 in reference to the TIS16?

I would think that either one of the ones that list the CTX 100 or 670 will work as long as its not smdi , I took over a CTX 28 that has the TIS 16 installed but it was already setup. Iwould think it would tell you in the manual.

I checked the manual thoroughly but its possible I missed that piece of information. I will look again. In the mean time if anyone does know the system type and confirmation code are both necessary when configuring the TIS16 with whatever phone system you have.

You want code 9024. 9424 is for SMDI.

Does it has a serial cable plugged into the SMDI port on the front of the voicemail? The serial cable goes from the BSIS card to the SMDI port on the Tis16 VM. The other way is to chech the configuration in P578 and P579 VM settings in the CTX28
The I/O programming for SMDI will also be set for Serial port 1 with 1200,7,E
