Hi guys has anyone come across a problem on CIX670 with Stratagy VM where SLT ports start off by not ringing and after a time might go dead completley. I have discovered that when we remove the RSTU3 Card there is a dark brown burn mark on the back of the card and the heat sync is really hot. We have had the power checked and replaced the cabs and some of the cards but this keeps happening. The customer uses vm mw on all slts

We've had that happen before and ended up replacing the cabinet, as well as the cards.
It started out as static on a single port, then it went to two ports and eventually the entire card went bad. I think it started out as a lightning strike or power surge, which made the backplane go bad. Replacing the RSTU made it go away for a while, but it eventually happened on another card in the same cabinet.
Do you have the cabinet plugged into surge protection? Did it take any electrical hits in the past?
