We have either a CTX or CIX system (not sure which one), but the voicemail is being replaced, as it frequently goes down. The replacement is the SG-IVP8-R2. Is there a way to export the mailbox, extension, username information from the old system in order to import it into the new system? Our phone support vendor is advising that there is no way, that they have to put in everything manually. There is no way to somehow get a list of what extensions are in the system, and what names are at least tied to the extensions? As well as the scheduling of the greetings (day/night/holiday)? thank you in advance!

Are you replacing a IVP8 with a IVP8 ? If so you can backup the old one and load to the new one

I'm not sure. Is that the only way we can pull the data from it?
is there any way to pull the extension/name information otherwise, that we can get a list printed?

The system sometimes goes down, so it's unreliable which is why we are replacing it, and I dont want to be caught dead in the water when during the switch over the old IVP8 dies, and then we don't have any information. I'd like to be able to pull it off just incase it needs to be re-programmed manually.

You can back up your data from any other Stratagy voice mail system, or Amanda Voice mail system.
You need the root files, vox.dat, vox.idx, vox.d00 plus the VMB.DB and VOX.DB folders
NOTE:**** you MAY need to match the adpcm setting in install.cfg file to the original voice mail settings. Before doing that though just test and see if all your records sound good.

Right MJ, the only thing that I can add is that the dsp on newer systems may not playback old recordings so I would leave the vox.db off the list unless you test it system to system.
