I currently have a Tosiba DK280 with a Repartee Active Voice VM system. I have all Centrex lines coming into the building. I have the VM system with an option that the user presses a digit and the voice mail does a hook flash then a couple of ,, (pauses) then dials a 9, then the phone number we have programed to forward to, then releases and the caller is then transfered to that number. The CENTREX provides the lines to allow the transfer to take place. If we switch to Comcast will there lines be able to perform the same functions. I can explain this to anyone who thinks they can figure it out. But I really need to know it will work before we dump Centrex. Feel free to call me if you have an answer. 586-330-9339 Thank you Please please help.

You will need to ask Comcast if they offer that feature and if they do, is the procedure the same as your Centrex. Speak to an engineer who will understand what you're trying to do which is to able to transfer a call to an external number by using a network flash.

I don't think that comcast provides centrex,(as that is an AT&T only feature) they might however 4 digit dialing functionality. The CLEC that my employer changed to provides 4 digit dialing capability over our voice PRI. So that's another option.
