I have taken over service on 40i, I'm a little confused about programming the SD button. I have assigned *99 to button 9 through P39 sets 000*007.

How do you program #39 Ext. page on that button?

*99 is a system speed dial location. From Port 000 hit redial, speeddial 99, #39 and redial again. That should do it.

Or do as Pat suggested. Put code 489 on the button using program 39.

Code 489 is for internal paging only, #39 does both int & ext page. When I hit redial, push button 9 (SD 99), when I push # 3 9 the # clears screen and returns it to time & date ?????

Reread the first line of Voyager's post.

You missed a step.

Do you have a speed dial access button (497) programmed on port 000? If yes, then from port 000 press redial, speed dial, 99, intercom, #39, redial. If no, then substitute * for speed dial. Adding intercom in the dial string makes it a one touch all call page.
