disclaimer I'm a technician with a varied background, and I am not some cheap business person hoping to learn and save. I've worked with the local dealer and paid for delayed service that never delivered what was requested.
The replies on this board have saved Toshiba from losing a customer and kept this business from switching to an Asterisk system. The people on this forum who work on and pay their bills with Toshiba hardware/software deserve a pat on the back for helping out here.
disclaimer Sorry.. Had to get that out of the way as some people really are being silly. Like someone can just stroll in here with no skills and do anything to a system this complex? Gesh! Give yourselves SOME credit folks..
I'm at the point where I'm trying to decide if we're going to shell out for caller ID as it could be handy with our continued growth.
We have an RCOU3A with the RCOS3A adapter, but we only have 4 analog lines.
Even just getting caller ID on the primary line would be nice but we're willing to spend a bit and get it on all 4.
I have a lead on an RCIU2A card for cheap but I'm still not dead certain we'll be able to use it.

"You can plug in a duplex gizmo to the RCOU3 and run a two pair cord over to the RCIU2A, that puts the lines in parallel.
By duplex gizmo I mean the little connector you can buy at Radio Shack to plug in a phone and an answering machine to one wall jack. Each jack has two dial tones, first two on the bottom of the main card, next two on the top of the main card, next two on the bottom of the daughterboard, last two on the top of the daughterboard, 8 dial tones on the RCOU/RCOS and 8 receivers on the RCIU21/RCIS. Just make 4 short cords."
That's for 8 lines, but I'm guessing it's valid info for 4 lines with just the RCIU2A.
I'm also not well equipped with phone hardware and would love to get as much details on what we need so we can buy it all from the same person without confusion or paying for the wrong bits.
Hope I made the outstanding issue clear without confusing the situation?
Thanks!
