We have about 30 IPT's (2010's) on our system (CIX 670 with LIPU and LIPS) - all been superb for about 3 years now.
Just recently (about a month) some of the IPT's come up randomly with IPU ALIVE PACKET STOP and restart....a couple of times the user has been in the middle of a call when its done it sometimes when idle. Once or twice the user says that all the LED's flash like its Christmas before the restart.. 8-)
There are no routers /firewalls as its a simple switched network of about 100 devices.
Network monitoring (pinging) shows no downtime on any of ... the IPT's the iES the CIX processor the LIPU/LIPS ..and the restarting phones always reconnect immediately and are then fine for hours.
I have replicated this between the CIX and a IPT connected to 2 ports of the same switch locally.
Network traffic is almost non-existent (the switch the CIX and the phones are on is a Catalyst 4000 and it shows 0% as highest traffic load!)
I have unplugged problem phones and the LIPU/LIPS and pinged to see if a duplicate IP was the issue - nothing found.
If anyone has anymore suggestions would be grateful.....
many thanks Dave

Just checking as running in G729a with 32 ms echo cancel delay reduces the LIPU/LIPS down to 24 ports.
Are you running the latest version of firmware on the LIPU 02_07? The handsets should be running 2M software in them as well.
Might be worth checking/upgrading to be sure everything is running the latest versions just to eliminate that as the problem.
