BobRobert, I have tried every possible spelling of the password. With caps, no caps, alternating caps. Tried same with default password. No luck. Is there a way to reset the password?

I would suggest having a Toshiba dealer come out and change the password. This is the only acceptable solution that can be given here as this board does not tolerate giving out the methods of defeating or bypassing passwords. As a plus, the dealer can set up the Stratagy for you with SMDI integration while you watch.

Thanks for the help Phonemeister. I have it all configured and just need to reset password since card is used and has old company information on it. Unfortunately, no one there knows what the password was and their service rep has since gone out of business. Just posted a question about this as a new topic. Will delete it now. Thanks for the heads up.

Can you get into mailbox 999?
Sometimes a dealer will make the computer login password simple to remember like the street address number or the last few digits of the main phone number or the company name.
If you have time you could play around with that.
Did the installing company go out of business or just the rep. The installing company should have a record of the password. Some installing companies put in a modem and change the password to one that they use for every install. They can get in but no one else.
If all else fails, a Toshiba dealer can PURCHASE a "token" from Toshiba, Inc. and when the tech is on site, Toshiba, Inc. can modem in and change the password. You pay for the tech and the token so guessing for an hour is cheaper.

Hello again Bunnie, I spent about two hours trying everything you suggested except for the street address number. I will try that next time I am on site. (Probably Monday).
I have no information about the installing company other than what has been told to me by the former system owner's responsible party. He took over about two years ago, never needed to access card directly so he never needed password (read: did not even know it had one). Sent me all of their existing paperwork including original install manual and log sheets. No password recorded. He also said that as far as he knew the original company that installed went out of business. Did not know if that meant they were bought out and changed names or just closed their doors. It does not matter in either case since he could not remember the name. No stickers on the system from installing company. No passwords recorded on inside covers.
I have time so I will play around with it and see what happens. Soooo close, yet so far.
Two questions:
1. Is it possible that the voicemail manager version I am using is incompatible with the Stratagy? (I have Voicemail Manager v1.7. Never did get an answer to that when originally asked).
2. Why did you want to know if I can get to box 999? If you mean by dialing into the system from extension using 850, I can get the original companies default recorded greeting and from there I can access individual boxes (I have their install sheets so I know previous extensions) If I knew individual passcodes I could access those functions as well. Never did try box 999. Would it help if I could?

You can change company greetings and mailbox greetings by dialing in thru 850. Single digit routing will require the VM Manager.
Again, as soon as you can get in with the proper password, check the software level of the DK card. If it's not R3 or above, you stand a very good chance of destroying the database. If it's R2 then you will need to find a copy of V2N Admin software.
Also the time thing I mentioned relates to setting timing functions in the mailboxes, ie: Auto Schedule tables and Notifications.

Voyager, figured I could change greetings and mailboxes from reading the installation and programming manual. Have not tried it yet for two reasons. First each mailbox has it's own pass code which I do not know. Second there is no point if I can not program the rest.
In the meantime I have Strata 424 programmed as though the card is not there.
Thanks for the update on setting time. I was wondering what issues you were talking about.

In mailbox 999, you do administrative things such as reset passwords for all other mailboxes, set the VM date and time, create mailboxes, delete mailboxes, etc.
I will PM you with the default passcode of MB 999 and hope they didn't change that. If they did, it is hire a Toshiba tech who has purchased a "token" from Toshiba so they will be paid to modem into it and set it to default or whatever you want.
