I have dkt 2001 phones that when an outside co line is transferred to them are not able to hold and the line button light goes out . when the hold is pressed the transferring phone line light shows the line held. the dkt 2001 can't get back to the held line.I changed the single line phone for 2010 ten button and it works fine. What am i missing? I am confused as the single line does have a hold button. I made sure the phone are marked as ten buttons and all have the same buttons programmed. Thanks in advance.

have you programmed the extn in P204 FB03 keystrip type set as a 1 key handset?
The 2001 handsets shouldnt have line keys programmed on them.

I was wanting to ad that this is a 424I Toshiba system and I use the admin software to program. I'm not sure as to what program you are referring to
I have the manual on CD rom to refer to.

you guys hit the issue on the head , i got back to prog. 39 and changed all to speed dial and it worked . Thanks for all your help. Thanks to this forum i was able to save whats left of my hair.
