I setup a new Node ID, setup the route plan analysis, route choice, and then add a Network DN for this new Node ID.

When dialing the Network DN, there is close to a 20 second delay before the call is sent to the route.

We used to have this same setup years ago and there was no delay when dialing network DNs. I have made sure I wasn't reusing the previous node ID or extensions (while troubleshooting this) and it doesn't make a difference.

I can watch the call come in on the remote PBX, so I know that the delay is on the CTX side. I just don't know what could be causing it.

Any ideas?

Are you using IP or PRI networking between the nodes?

Well, I just changed the Interdigit timer (for my extension only) from 15 to 3 and now it connects in 3 seconds. Does that sound right? Should I have had to change this?

don't change the interdigit timer !!!! it will create all sorts of dialling issues.

Did you program the PRI Qsig correctly?
Have you followed the tech bulletin on the FYI site?

It's not a Qsig trunk. It's PRI crossover. I want NI2 to NI2 4 digit dialing. I only changed the interdigit timer on my own extension for testing.

What is the tech bulletin on the FYI site? I'd like to read it.

Thanks.

So you are not using QSIG over PRI ?
What did you setup in your ILG and OLG as the service type?

What have you set in your public numbering plan for local calls as it will be using x=8 digits and that is probably why it is taking a long time to establish the call.

Nope, it's not Qsig. ILG and OLG are both set to Standard service type (and trunk type CO). I didn't add anything to the public numbering plan and suspected that may come into play, but am unsure how to proceed to have an end result of 4 digit dialing.

So from what I've been reading, it looks like I might be able to resolve this using ISDN Call by Call and using a CO ILG and a TIE OLG.

I posted a new thread asking about this: https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/ultimatebb.php?/ubb/get_topic/f/11/t/005023.html

Thanks.
