Hi, I'm trying to get some IP phones set up with an LIPU card, but I'm a little confused on how I should have the Comcast Business Gateway setup. I'm not using a switch or router, I have the LIPU running directly into the Comcast modem. Any help on how I should configure this modem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

The modem has to be in a bridge mode, and not using NAT. Also it needs to be a static IP address You would have to contact your provider for the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway. You don't need to enter DNS information.

Ok, I have more details now. The customer's IT group have a VPN setup with their three offices. The CIX100 is at the main office. They have the Comcast modem DMZ set to point to their network router.

So, am I correct in thinking that I won't be able to get connected remotely from my office for testing because of the DMZ setting? I'm thinking that it also should be a pretty easy setup because they have a VPN in place.

So, should I just put the LIPU on their network, set it up with say 192.168.1.200, and then just set up the IP phones at their satellite offices with the internal IP address of 192.168.2.208 (for example)

With a VPN? Yes, you can put the LIPU on the interneal network and point the phones to that IP address. This should work fine. I have doen this configuration.
