After upgrading everything on the MAS I thought I should probably upgrade the CIX 670 software , has anyone done the remote upgrade? Did you run into any problems

Since they have a MAS, I would use logmein to remote to the MAS. If you dialup, the PRI DIDs might not work after the upgrade. Sometimes you have to cycle power again.

I don't know if I was doing it wrong, but sometimes an upgrade through emanager didn't work. System came up on previous version.I use the PRG rescue method mostly because I think it's a little quicker. After the upgrade, be sure to activate it.

The obvious danger woould be if the system lost its programing and came up initialized, but I have not seen this happen.

I would try it if you are using the MAS through the internet, with the option to roll out in the 1 or 2% chance it doesn't come back up.

After the MAS upgrade , the SMDI integration would work for while then it would stop, on and off all day, thats why I thought I would upgrade the CIX ?

Just when I thought I had this problem solved it reared its ugly head again today. Toshiba had me send the log files from Netserver and from the CIX, Had to setup a MCG to handle calls till we figure something out.

Is it on the customer's LAN? Can you put all of the Toshiba equipment (CIX, MAS, Stratagy, etc.) on its own LAN by using small network switch. This will rule out the customer's LAN as being the problem.

When you say SMDI stopped working do you mean the program called TKI?
I have had this program fail on numerous occassions usually throwing up a Runtime error.
We found on one site that a handset which had a LOG IN key but was not a member of any ACD group was the cause.Periodically the user was pressing the LOG iN button and causing TKI to fall over.
I'm not saying that this is the issue but I know that TKI causes problems. Did you upgrade this to the latest version?
