I am trying to connect to a GVPH card on a CIX40 for the first time, I have UADM2.1 installed and working on my laptop, my question is does the GVPH card have a modem built in or do I connect with a RJ11 to DB9 lead. The I and M manual says the card has a modem built in while the Programming manual says that you need to attach an external modem to the card. I can see a RJ11 socket on the card and I want to program it locally. Ideally I would like to program the GVPH through the USB to serial adaptor of my laptop.
To summarise 1: Is the RJ11 socket on the GVPH a Modem port or Serial port. 2: If it is a serial port will it work with a serial adaptor on a laptop. 3: If it is a serial port does anyone have the RJ11 to DB9 pinout. Cheers in advance. John
Have you tried turning it off and on again!!!

Test really Dan.
I think what he is trying to say is look at the signture line. We sell a network Voicemail programmer kit for all of the Toshiba voicemails. Flash, IVP8 R1 or R2, GVPH and LVMU.

Sorry... Link is fixed
It is a serial port for programming the voicemail. BTW, you really need the new VM Manager 1.11 to program that unit. I wouldn't use UAdmin. That came out with the IVP8.
Some technicians have had luck with a USB/Serial adapter. Your issue is the exact reason we engineered the GVM232 Network Kit.
The adapter you are referring to is a PPTC-9

I don't suppose this Serial/IP device could be used with a Panasonic KSU, eh? Does it come with special drivers that "trick" the Toshiba software into seeing a serial port?
