co line 1 stops working from time to time. It's connected through tcou. Everything looks good and checks out ok. The only way i can get it working again is to power cycle the system then it will work for a few weeks to a month then must be power cycled again.

Could the TCOU be going bad?

Any help would be appreciated!

It could be especially if the problem just started happening. Swap it out and see.

Don't have an extra TCOU. This is a harder nut to crack since it happens randomly & infrequently. Just didn't want to start swappin out cards that I would have to purchase. Thought somebody might have experienced this symptom before. I think i'll wait till it happens again (if it does), then purchase a used TCOU and go from there.

Thanks Phonemeister

PS. Any TCIU CALLER ID cards out there for a reasonable price?

Flip line 1 & line 2 and see if the problem follows to line 2 this will help determine if the problem is with the TCOU or the line itself.

Steve, I already did that and it's definitely isolated to TCOU port 1. I thought it might be a malfunctioning port 1 relay but I tapped it a few good times with the handle of a screwdriver and still nothing. This has happened 3 times now and the only thing that has ever worked is power cycling the system. It's got to be a faulty TCOU or TMAU or maybe even the processor.
