Has anyone had any problems with the GVMU prompts degrading and becoming staticy within an hour or so of booting the card?

The GVMU has always had problems with low volume and the quaility of the voice prompts and recordings. Make sure the system is grounded.

It is grounded. I have never seen anything like this but I have had very little experience with the GVMU and LVMU cards. I have worked on all of the other Toshiba Voicemail Systems alot.

Where is the power supply mounted? I had the same problem and Toshiba said move the power supply. I had it up close to the bottom of the cabinet and it caused static on the GVPH. Moving it away from the cabinet solved the problem.

It's mounted about a foot and a half below the KSU.

Is there any power in close proximity the cabinet?

The GVMU was completely screwed up after their last vendor was on site. I pulled the strap and defaulted the voicemail and then reprogramming it from scratch. Everything works perfectly except after about an hour to an hour and a half after it is booted the audio starts to degrade. It can still be understood but it's very scratchy. If I reboot the voicemail it is good for another hour or more until it starts all over again.

What version chips are on the GVMU? The chips with version "C" on them had to be changed for the "E" ones. They are under the 2 black folding chip holders.
The was a voice deteroiation issue on the "C" chips
