Hi.

Just wanted to confirm something.

We just passed a holiday and my boss had set up the VM (iES32) to take over the lines so that people calling would go directly to VM. The problem is that the VM did not kick in and the holiday went by as if it was a working day.

I keep telling him that IMO, the CIX takes the call before the VM does, as the call has to be routed through the CIX before the VM kicks in (which makes more sense to me) but we are at a disagreement on this.

Now we have another holiday coming along next monday, and we need to make sure that the VM picks up.

Does this have to be set up on both the CIX and the VM, just the CIX or just the VM? I would say both, but would like confirmation.

Thanks.

You can program the CIX100 to go into night mode on a particular day. You have to, first, program the lines to DIT to the voice mail in night mode. And if you program a night button on the reception phone, you can send the calls to auto attendant anytime you want. IE: mid-day company meetings, etc.

You can then record a holiday greeting in 990 to auto schedule that particular day.

Now available Voicemail Programmer Kit to program your Toshiba Voice Mail across your network.

The CIX routes ALL calls. It either routes calls to a telephone(s) or the voice mail system. The voice mail system has its own extension just like the phone on your desk. If you want the VM to answer the call then you would route the call to the voice mail system's extension. If you want to answer the call then route it to the extension sitting on your desk.

The only thing you would do with the voice mail system is set it to play the correct holiday greeting on that day.

Hi.

We ended up going through the trunk lines and the DID/DIT to route calls for the holiday, and removed the routing this morning.

Thanks for the help guys.
