I'm not clear on what you are trying to do or what you have done.
If you want phones outside your LAN to connect to the CIX you will have to give the GIPU a public IP address or crate a VPN tunnel from the the IPT's network to the CIX's network.

i dont want to do a vpn we done a course with tosh a year ago and they said a vpn dont have to be used as this is a hassle and stops the user moving the phone about to diferent locations just open some ports on the router that may block audio

If I understand corectly, your original post says that you put the card outside of the router. If this is the case then there isn't any ports to "open" as all of them are open (not blocked).
I am pretty sure that Steve posted the program number for the IPT NAT no Peer to Peer setting. You should check that box for every IPT phone. This will fix intercom calls from IPT to IPT.

oi69 - I've emailed you a list of ports.
newtecky - theoretically, you'd be correct and you would think that all ISP would hand over a 100% open connection and allow the customer to handle the port blocking/forwarding/firewall/routing/etc., but unfortunately this isnt always the case.
We've had multiple ISP block VoIP ports specifically, so they can then pitch the customer on THEIR VoIP service and start with the "we can do it correctly..." pitch. Finally, after we move up their support tiers we get results and someone that actually logs into their devices and unrestricts the propper ports.
