I have a customer with a CLEC that is providing a internet circuit and my pots lines off a channel bank, the problem being they are not showing me a quick enough diconnect signal for the STS which is causing me grief with such things like dead air messages in mbxs and timeout calls off the AA recieving dead air calls.
i have my loop supervision set down to 100ms and if i call in and hang up the STS is holding on to it for about 7-10 secs before it is dropped. the CLEC can't change anything but they told me to change to groundstart which i don't think the STS will support. any suggestions?

Mike Sandman has a CPC generator that will send a CPC when phone company will not. Sounds like the channel bank is programmed wrong, get a supervisor and raise H**l!! Tell customer to get CPC devices or change to telco that will send proper signal. Sandman also makes a meter to check duration of CPC, so its eaiser to set in your switch. Have fun!

I would like to know what CLEC and what channel bank is causing this problem?? If they can't provide the proper Disco signal like any LEC USA, they need to stop selling services and getting the vendor caught in the middle and saying that it's a phone system problem! Tell it all, brother!
