OK, I'll swing by the switch tomm(maybe find a manual!) and get some numbers for you. Might even bring my digital camera. Didn't mean to be confusing, but the auto shop ext is 151, I didn't say what the library ext number was. The phone in the library (ext 183) displays who is calling, and that's how I ID extensions. I'll try the 640 trick and see what happens. I've spent lots of time on the other side of the 66 block, so I'm a newbie this. I appreciate the help, guys!

The switch is Triad 3. I dialed 605 at the attendant station and the software version is:Eng.Ver.3.0C-3 Starplus Basic. The attendant phone model is TR9016-71. The voice mail system is a Vodavi digital Dispatch. I tried using 640 at each extension and nothing happened.Went into each station's vmail to option 6 and made sure that they were set to blind transfer. Still no ringing. Ed had me try 631 to cancel call forwarding, got a confirmation tone, bingo, that did the trick! Is there a cheat sheet out there that has the useful, everyday numbers for this system? Thanks guys, two problems fixed! Got lots more questions! Denis L

Denis:
Glad to help. Some features activated with single-line sets are difficult to troubleshoot since there's no visual feedback.
The 631 code cancelled "Do Not Disturb", not call forwarding. After checking, your system has fixed station call forwarding to voice mail for the phones, so you really won't need to use the call forward feature (640) unless you just want to do a station-to-station forward on a temporary basis.
Yes, there is a cheat sheet that is now the first (detachable) page in the user's guide. It lists the most commonly-used dial codes and features. PM me with a fax number and I will send it to you, along with the grand-daddy list of all of the rest of the codes.

Just an FYI...
The 631 code is a toggle on/off code, so if the station is NOT in DND you will actually turn the feature on when using 631. The code I use when troubleshooting (or tell others to try) is 662 which will cancel both DND and call forward. Hope this helps!
