I am quoting a system that the customer wants a mag lock on the front door and a doorphone. The last time I did one of these set ups, the doorphone was not available for the STS. I see now that a 356008 doorphone is available and according the the brochure I can activate a remote door. Question is, do I need anything besides the Doorphone or is there some type of auxiliary relay board I would need to get to release the door? I tried the RTFM route but it's no help. The last one we did, we used a viking doorphone, but would rather not use a CO port if I can get the Vodavi model to do what I want.

the STSe comes with 1 relay on-board
but if i'm thinking correctly you will still need a CO line to activate the relay, Maybe ED can correct me on this

Vodavi's door phone will work on a digital station port. Flash 15 programming for relay control will allow you to set it up for several functions. We usually just assign the relay to an unused external paging zone control. Users can then dial the unused paging zone code or program a button to do this. It's kind of a work around, but we have done it.
