Hi, New to the board here. Has anyone worked with VB6 or other languages to create some applications for CTI with the STSe? I have written some software to control the station locally through the Vodavi CTI Box and monitor activity of other stations using the ATH setting from a station (648 set to ATH).This gives me a DSS Console for all stations and VM ports on the screen. I can not find any ATH command to place the call on Hold or to Transfer the call. I did call tech support and went as high as Engineering. However they state there are only the standard Hayes ATD/ATH Commands available. I did a little poking around through the CTI BOX and discovered there are at least 2 undocumented commands. Other than using the Discovery Link or PC Phone factory software with DDE support is there any other way to get the Hold function? Thanks in advance. Bill Hayhurst

Welcome to the board Bill. I can't help you with the subject because I've never dabbled with that stuff. Ed will be along pretty soon and he will probably be able to help you. He's one of the Vodavi Guru's (among others) around here incase you haven't seen any of his posts.

I doubt anyone here will be able to help you. Why not just buy the software?

Bill:
An AT command that generates a hook flash will allow a call to be transferred. By generating a hook flash and dialing 430 to park the call, it can be retrieved elsewhere. Is that the kind of information you are seeking?
AT!,6# plus the extension number will cause the system to transfer a call to another station.
AT!,430 will park the call in park location 430 (431-437 can also be used). Any user can then dial # plus the park number to retrieve the call.
I don't know of any AT command that can simply place a call on hold with the STSe or any Vodavi system for that matter.

Thanks to everyone for your input. I tried the AT! sequence and it actually turns the digital station off and then on again. Just the way it would if you were to press the ON/OFF button while on the speakerphone. It drops the line you were using and then reseizes another outside line. (Since I have it programmed for an outside line when going off hook). I was hoping that there was someone else lurking in the distance that was doing some programming too. As a programmer and telephone tech too (36 yrs), I wanted to create my own software to sell. The Vodavi Discovery Link is kind of weak in its ability. The PC Phone is really along the lines of what I want to do. The problem with the PC Phone is that it isn't really set up very well with its window screens. It looks as if "Engineers" designed it with out firsthand knowlege of what a receptionist desk looks like or her additional jobs. Don't get me wrong, I like Vodavi systems very much. They are really very powerful systems that are offered for a very fair price and the more you dig into it (STSe) the more you appreciate it. I will keep checking for any additional posts. Thanks again. Bill H
