Everytime I reboot the KSU the system looses the date and time and I have to enter the admin mode and program it in. It doesn't loose the station programming so I don't think it would be the onboard system battery if the stations stayed programed, could it be or is it something else?

What station programming have you entered (that it keeps)? A low (or no) battery situation would send everything back to default. If the station time is the only thing that's going back to default---then you may have a bigger problem---I hope that it's just the battery. That battery is probably 10 or more years old---they usually crap out after 5 or 6 years--so the battery seems like the logical problem --but if no other programming is going to default --hmmmmm. Maybe someone else has an answer. Could it be a Y2K thing??

I'm in the Admin programming mode on station 100, I power off the KSU cabinet and back on and the time reset's, I than have to reenter it in the admin system mode.

It appears to be only the time and date.

It's definitely a Y2K issue. All of their systems prior to 3.4S software in the DVX/Starplus Digital are not Y2K compatible (1999 era). Any other systems since then are compliant. There's nothing that can be done except to bear the minor inconvenience or resetting the clock.

I knew that dang Y2K bug would eventually catch me, one way or another. I'll attach a longer battery backup on the system, hoping no one will power off and no one will be any the wiser.

Thanks for the info.
