I need help in identifing to the local phone company why, my caller ID unit for the PCS Digital phone is not working. It will show date, time, and Out of Area. It will not show the phone number regardless of whom is calling. also it will not keep data. All the buad rates are correct. How do I communicate to the phone company what format I Need.

You don't communicate to the phone company what you need. It's a national standard, so the only variable is whether or not you pay the extra fee for name and number or just number delivery.

I am not familiar with the PCS system, but I am confident that it is identical to the Vodavi DHS system. You may want to check in the doccumentation to see where you can toggle between name and number display on the phones. I think your connections are done correctly if you are receiving anything at all, which it appears you are.

I know this isn't much of a definitive answer, but hopefully it will point you in the right direction.

What Ed said. Also, are you receiving CID on your buttset or a stand alone CID box?

Yes, we are receiving it on the butt set and CID box.

You may have to tell the system to keep a log and where and what size.
