Just recently was called to check a sts with flash vm that has repeated messages and saved messages "disappearing". Not having installed this I am willing to bet it was not initialized correctly at install based upon reading here. It does have the newest software based upon eprom. I am new to sts (2 installs no VM) and need to know what is the procedure to properly reinitalize the vm. Any and all help is appreciated in advance. I have been told this system was replaced once already for VM issues.
manuals will be available in a day or so but I was trying to get a heads up on this. Thanks

BobK:

You'll need to connect a laptop to the voice mail's serial port @ 9600/None/8/1. Once you connect, initialization is an option from the main menu. What you are experiencing sounds like a classic case of failure to initialize. Just remember, you will need to reprogram it, or at least most of it, but it is very simple to do. Bear in mind that 20053 is now the most current version of software, but if you have properly-initialized, 20052 will be fine.

You can call Vodavi's Technical Support for the STS. They will take calls from anyone for this product line since it's not dealer-restricted. Their number is 480-443-6000.

Thanks I did look at the Vodavi site last night and could not find any support links that did not need a LOGIN to site, and that I dont have at this point. Will call and see what happens. Just called and they refered me back to site and I HAVE to register and have marketing approve!!

I swear this is an open product!
Can anyone email it me while that is going on(registration). I am due at site later this afternoon otherwise I would wait and not ask

Thanks

Did you get through to tech support to be told this or did you just hear it from the receptionist? If so, try 800-356-7279 and select option #1 for technical support.

I'm having a hellva time too getting support
We're basically supporting this STS from an end user standpoint.
Simply want to add an extension card and some phones... The system is all up and running. Been like pulling teeth to get support!!!
