I'm having trouble with the voicemail on our 3-years old STS system which has In-Skin Flash VM.

I was a good newbie and did a bunch of searching and reading in this forum before posting a "Help me!" message, so I discovered that the first thing I need to do upgrade my VM software which is currently at 20051.

1. Is version 20053 the current version that I should upgrade to?

2. Where can I get the current version? I'm not a dealer, so I don't have access to the dealer section of the Vodavi web site.

Yes, 20053 is the latest version. However,if you are not an authorized dealer then you won't have access to the upgrade files. Honestly, you should call a Vodavi vendor, pay for an hour, and have it done properly. If you do the upgrade the wrong way you may end up losing more money than a service call.

Three years ago I helped my dealer install my system and I did a lot of the programming myself. He didn't have much Vodavi experience either, so we learned it together. I've got all the manuals, WinDBA, and Hyperterminal and I know how to use them. I'm an electrical engineer and a computer geek and I enjoy figuring out this kind of stuff. smile

I've got all of the system and VM settings backed up or recorded so that I can quickly restore any settings that get lost during the upgrade.

Two years ago my dealer went out of business and moved out-of-state and I've been maintaining the system on my own since then.

If I need to call Vodavi and get them to give me the files, I'll do that, but when I was reading the prior messages on this forum I got the impression that the 20053 files weren't a big secret and some of the regulars here would be happy to send me the zip file or point me to where I can get it myself.

Thanks in advance for your help! This forum is a gold mine of information about Vodavi systems and the posts I have read so far seem to have remarkably less bickering than most other forums. Kudos to all of you regulars who make this forum work!
