I inherited a customer with a Vodavi STS with flash voicemail. They currently use it for just voicemail with live answering. They would like to migrate to night mode auto attendant with a directory. Could someone direct me to the particulars on programimg the switch and the voicemail to accomplish this.

DON:

The switch :

Flash 40 page B button 5 (Use 440 or 450 if you want hunt grp. )

Flash 40 page C button 8 (Timer for ring count )

The voicemail :

System administrator programming.

Systems greetings 2 (for night)

You will need a Installation manual to understand where
to go with the above.

Thanks TJ. Thats the info I was looking for. I have a manual so it should be a no brainer.

It should be noted that there isn't full integration between the flash mail and the STS. When the attendant pushes her DND button the KSU will go into night mode but the VM will not. It will continue to play the active greeting based on either what mode the VM is in or on the programmed schedule.

Could you expand on that. Is there a procedure for putting the voicemail manually into night mode. How should I set this system up. The A/A is to be used for night mode (when they leave the office) only, but they don't have regular schedules so Day/Night schuleas is not an option.

Make the day and night greeting the same and it wouldn't matter what time it was or what mode the VM was in.

No it can't be done manually to my knowledge.

If you go into the administrator's mailbox and select option 5, then press 2 to change, you can select 1 for day, 2 for night or 3 for automatic.
