When I place the phone into headset mode (634), and try to use the on/off button, grab a line or anything else, I get no sound in the headset. It's an old plantronics S10A plugged inline with the phone handset. If I take it out of headset mode, I can use the headset by removing and replacing the phone handset on the phone. Of course, this removes the main benefit of headset mode (being able to simply use the on/off button).

Any suggestions?

You need to make sure which type of headset is enabled in programming (2.5mm or standard). You also need to make sure that the speakerphone mode is set to "disable" in system programming.
