I didn't see any post on this so correct me if it's already on here.
I have a customer who's system crashed. I replaced it with a new cabinet (STSe). The 30 button phones they had will not work on this cabinet.
If I plug in a 24 button phone on the port, it comes up and works. The 30 button phone tries to boot up, but only shows version info on the display and OK Sync.
My software version is 1.02
Any ideas?
Thanks

You must have the "Gold" KSU to use 30-button sets.

The 30 button phones will only work with the Gold software package that is only given to the authorized dealers.

Can an authorized dealer install the software in the cabinet we have or is there a physical difference?

Yes, an authorized dealer of Vodavi should be able to install it on your cabinet. There of course would likely be a cost for the upgrade. Steve

if the old cabinet was an STS with eproms rather than flash memory, you could just get a used cabinet and swap the eproms. That way you can keep the customer. Otherwise you may lose them to the dealer. You are in a sticky situation.
