What CO group is that line in? and do the extensions have access to that group?

Also, check to make sure that it is set up for both-way service. Sometimes people program the first line to be inbound-only so that the main number is never tied up on an outgoing call.

What happens is the Attendant picked the phone up and dialed 602 it gave her a confirmation tone and she thought oops I forgot to press the line key......So she pressed line 1 got another confirmation tone. Hung up the phone and tried her call again now line was is taken out of service for making outgoing calls. To reset it from the attendant phone dial 602 and press the flashing line key.

I thought that too, Scott, but there was no mention of the line key being lit or flashing. That is a classic "cleaning people" problem for sure.

Ed The button only flashes when the 602 code is dialed otherwise it is off and looks normal.
