I have an XTS with a VOIP card, 6 circuits. I have 4 voip phones at a remote office. All are in the same office using the same router back to the main office. I also have a 5th voip phone at my office used for testing into any of our voip installations.
All 5 phones are going down together roughly once every other day. All three sites are Comcast Business grade internet. The remote office data keeps working but all four phones go down. My voip phone also goes down. Data is working no problem. The first 2 months of service were flawless. Just within the last 2 weeks this has been an issue.
When I am in CONFIG, the board is INS and all the voip stations are OOS. I found out when I do reset of the VOIP slot, the stations all start populating to INS. Everything good. So I have isolated the issue to be at the head end if everything goes down.
Has anyone else come up with this issue in the past? I was told by one person that I should run a new cable to the Comcast router from the XTS.
Haven't talked to the techs at Vodavi yet.

Funny, something like this happened to me today. The Voip phones went down, but config showed that they were still up. I reset the card and the same thing. If I tried to call a phone or the networked remote office, the trunk would sieze up. I had to reset the system to make the problem go away.

I have a nearly-identical setup with four IP phones and one Nomad wireless IP phone at my house. Yes, I'm using "Es Comcastico" as my ISP at home. At the office, I'm using integrated access on a PRI via Paetec.
At random times, all IP phones at home will go dead. Most of the time, they will restart on their own and I never even notice it. One exception is that one of the IP phones buzzes when it restarts for some reason. This does seem to occur on the quarter-hour, or right after I complete a call on one of the IP phones during peak periods in my Comcast node (neighborhood).
No data communication is ever lost when this happens. I swear that Comcast has something to do with it, as if they are making cyclical attempts to block VoIP traffic on their network unless it is theirs. There has been a lot of talk about their picking and choosing what traffic they are willing to transport.

I spoke to the gods at Vertical(fka Vodavi). They have instructed me to download the latest software rev for the voip board. I have 31e-3 currently.
Ed, you may want to download that if you are not current.
