This was a new system for me, biggest issue was going back in time and now using two pairs. So , do all VOIP systems take two pairs now? I have also replaced two CO cards, vertical has to modify them, the trouble was low volume on CO 4, position one on card.
Anyone figure out how the outside source for music on hold works? I Set it up in program, still plays the canned music,I can change that tune, just not to outside source.

Be aware while the name of the system may have "IP" in it, it is not an IP system. It is a digital hybrid key system that can have an IP card in it and run IP phones or trunks, but it is not an IP system.
We have a few out there, once the kinks are worked out they seem to work fine. The system is nice for the price point that it sells at.

Technically, it doesn't take two pair, just one. The digital phones use the 2nd position on the jack.
Did you program 142 for External Music? Program 171 MOH Type = Extenal Music?

Hello No, I did not get the external MOH working, tried both programs, one has box to check, other has nothing related to moh. That is if I remember right. Next time I go out to that customer I will look further into it.
The issue I am having right now, is that I replaced two CO cards in base cabinet, due to line 4-6 trouble, low volume. Vertical said they are aware of the problem and it must be old stock that was sent to me. Someone in another thread said , dont expect to make a profit from your first one,how true it is.
AS to the two pair thing, I just got off the phone with Vertical and they said they are getting complaints about using the pins 3,4. How many jacks in America are wired with just one pair on the center pins? It is pretty standard practice with almost all the digital phones out there.
Maybe next year they will bring back the Japanese color code. and then 1A2.... Check me out, I sure dont like change.
Sorry for complaing, having a tuff time with things right now.

I think nfcphoneman (Larry) has your solution. There is a learning curve for the 320 no doubt. Definitely more Vodavi like than Comdial.
