I have an XTS customer who complains the 30-button phone display is too small to adequately see what is going on at their busy reception phone.

They are requesting a 3016-71 elite large display phone, but I am unsure this is going to increase the amount of information on the display.

The large LCD is mostly just for the feature buttons along the side, no?

It is mostly for the silly calendar or soft key lists. Frankly, the call data portion at the bottom is harder to see than that of a standard 3015 phone. Also, the little box at the bottom that contains this information displays exactly the same information. I don't think your customer will be any happier with a 3016 at all.

I'd invest in some form of a stand so that the display is pointed more directly at them. We use those plain old chrome wire ones that prop the phone up about 3" in the back which helps a lot to reduce the glare of the fluorescent lights on the displays.

In all actuality the Large display will give them even less information. It only displays 16 characters across and the 30/24 button phones display 24 characters. Which is also why the large display phones can not be used for programming.
