Networking 2 sites. Both are 3.0 am software. Routing through a PTP T-1 sharing with data. Routers are SSG 20 Junipers. Problem having is I'm able to communicate to both sides but unable to call phone to phone, get info calling ext. 2000 but no voice no ring. Sent config to Vertical and they were able to make it work on their network, so I believe the config is good. Missing setting on routers. Opened ports that are neeeded still no voice. Any thoughts on what I could be missing? Able to ping far end no problem and communicate with Admin.

Are you inside the VPN? Both ends have an internal ip or public ip?

Not using VPN. Using a Point to Point T-1. Using static IP on both sides for VOIP and MPB. Appreciate info.

Vertical techs have helped with all the settings?

All my voip systems are connected through HFC with static public ips, no routers and no firewalls. If both systems are on the same net than I would double check pgm 324 flex 9,0 and make sure the firewall routing is set to off.

also make sure that pgm 322 flex 4,0 is set for value 1 of net not 0 for pstn flex 324 4,0 has to match the above settings for net.

And I assume you have entered the network unlock
code (trans-prog 78)

Vertical tech checked all the settings they reported config good. When you say connected through HFC do you me Hybrid fiber coax? Checked 324 and 322 all is good.

HFC is high Frequency cable. I am making some inquiries at Vertical about this. It sounds like a port problem but I am not completly sure.

However I do have a question. Do you have your voip ports set for H323 or SIP? H323 needs a lot of ports to be onpened where SIP only uses one. Maybe changing your trunks to SIP would fix this.

Thanks for help Derrick but we solved the problem.
The problem was with the SSG 20 router H323 needed to be unchecked. Good info for future networks.
