I have a XTS that goes to voice mail after 10 sec. I'd like to lengthen this because I am frequently at another desk across the room. A previous post suggested changing the time options in "Station Attributes". However, I can't find reference to System attributes in my manual. Would anyone mind walking me thru this?
Thanks! Greg

This is an admin function and requires you to enter programming at the operator station using a password. You may need someone to offer tech assistance for this and there may be a charge.

Forum guidelines prohibit us from offering step by step instructions when it involves trained administrator programming items. It also makes no sense to give it away for free when this is how many of us make our living. However, from previous posts, you seem to have an admin manual and if you are willing to take full responsibility for any undesirable database changes, I can offer these suggestions.
Depending on what type of line you have, you may be looking at either CO PreSet Forward, DID Route Table Assignments and/or individual Station Busy/NoAns Fwd timers. None of this information is readily available to the end user so unless you are proficient in this system programming, you should contact your dealer or request direct help from those of us who who have paid the price to become trained on this system. Reviewing your posts can help you decide who to contact.

Thanks folks - I do have an admin manual and I am the "admin" person for this system. I recall changing the ring timing on another station a few years ago but then we had a HD crash and I replaced it with a used unit that was set to go to VM after 10 sec. It seems strange that when you buy a phone system, you don't really seem to own it!

Owning the phone system and having the background and knowledge to do the programming are two totally different things.
You've been offered off board help, so the balls in your court. I'm sure your services aren't free.

You own your car. Do you ever think twice about taking it to a shop?
