I have changed out my DVX II cabinet 8003-00 for a DVX III cabinet 8000-00 (Eng. V4.16 P02-2FE2). The purpose was to support more stations. I have moved all my cards including my MPB from the DVXII over to the DVXIII cabinet and I have moved the DVXII power supply over as well. Cabinet card contents and slots are as follows. Slots: 0-DTIB24, 1-DTIB24, 2-PRIB, 3-SLIB, 4-empty, 5-empty, 6-empty, 7-MISB, MPB. Plus 8021-01 expansion slots: 8-DTIB12, 9~11 empty. I tried replacing the 12prt DTIB with a 24prt DTIB board but when I went to cabinet card programming to try and change it to a DTIBE I got a fast busy. Any suggestions?

It sounds full. Are there any open slots? If so delete them in card programming.

Well, I mistated the DVX II. It's actually what would be called a DVX Plus Mach II and all the contents were moved over to a DVX Plus Mach III cabinet Part#8000-00. The software version is Eng. V4.16 P02-2FE2. From what I have read it should support up to 108 ports. I also have an EKSU cabinet Part# 8021-01 attached. Not sure why I can't add more stations?

I thought the system can only handle 60 station ports (digital/analog) and 48 co ports.

DTIB 24 + DTIB 24 + SLIB 6 + DTIB 12 = 66 ports
If you swap out the DTIB12 for a DTIB24, you exceed port limit to 78. It wont allow it.

The DVX2 & DVX3 are the same. The DVX2 just has 3 slots chopped out it.

A6, you are definitely right about the 72 station port capacity of the DVXPlus2 and that I have 66 ports in use now, but I was told by someone on this forum that changing the cabinet out would give me additional ports as a DVXPlus3. I have 12 slots including the EKSU expansion cabinet.

It has become pretty clear that the DVX+III cabinet will not support any additional ports so I will have to move forward with my XTS cabinet upgrade. Here's a link to an earlier discussion I had about the DVX+III cabinet upgrade and shows where I got the Idea that the DVX+III cabinet change out would resolve my current port expansion problem. https://www.sundance-communications.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?/ubb/get_topic/f/12/t/000535.html Thanks for your comments everyone.
