I have a TalkPath Vmail attached to my XTS phone system equipped with about 80 phones & vmail boxes so far. The talkpath is equipped with 4 ports and I have adapted the Talkpath internal HD over to a 2GB flash drive. I have 3 issues currently with the TalkPath.

1. Delayed delivery of vmail messages, sometimes as much as a day.

2. After checking and deleting new vmail messages often the message waiting light does not go off.

3. Many times people calling to check their vmail cannot get the vmail system. The phone just rings and does not connect.

Will adding more ports to the TalkPath help or should I consider a different vmail system and if so which one?

Sounds like you have one of two problems. Not enough ports or one port, the last one is not answering.

The delayed message thing...that is a PC dos problem and there is nothing you can do about it.

Adding more ports? No...if you want more ports you should go witn an Inskin Pathfinder. It will take you from 4 to 12.

If you defrag the hard drive, delayed messages might improve. The on board defrag is hokey so I prefer to pull the drive and connect it to my laptop via a USB drive adapter.
