Hey all, stumbled across this site and everyone seems knowledgeable regarding the Vodavi systems so I thought I'd send my question your way I was just recently hired into a position and one of my responsibilities is maintaining the STSe Key System here. One issue has thrown me in a loop though. When customers call, we have a simple greeting menu which tells them to dial an ext at anytime, press 1 for sales and 2 for support. However if a customer presses 0, it takes them to a mailbox, one owned by a finance employee. I would like to switch that to the support mailbox. What would I need access to, to change this and how would I go about doing this? I have all the necessary info such as passwords and such. My exp with this type of system is minimal so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks! :toast:

It depends on the voice mail. Flash based you need hyperterm and a straight through serial db9 cable. It it is the hard drive voice mail, you need admin software.

Digits are assigned in the Number Plan \ CCR menus.

I have similar issue, but I do not have the software. I am new to Vodavi phone system.
Our STS system was installed in 2004, after some years, database got corrupted. I did re-initialized and re-programmed it using telephone. Everything seemed working fine like what it was except that when customer hear the system greeting, it does not go to voice mail when press '0', what it does is the machine operator says "Please hold while we transfer your call." It will just keep ringing.
In system greeting, it recognizes "Press 4" and it prompts "Select first letter of last name."
What do I need to do so when the customer press 0, it will go to voice mail?
Thanks!

'4' is the default key for dial-by-name directory. Programming Menu 12 - PBX Administration - 3-digit. Change it to 5 or something that doesn't conflict with CCR's.

In the flash vm "0" in the ccr menu is useless. I'm not even sure why they put the option in the ccr because anytime someone dials "0" it follows the "operator assignment" that you have in menu optin 4 "auto attendant settings" for each vm port. Check that. If you have it going to an extension, you will need to make sure the ext. is forwarded to vm in order to leave a message in the attendants mailbox.
