I have a customer with an older version xts V1.6, they have asked for a cordless phone. I got them a V10000 before finding out it would not work on V1.6. Any suggestions ? Will the V10000 work on the next software version (V2.23)?

To expand on my question, I understand I may have to upgrade to V3.5 if it doesnt work on 2.23. How much trouble is this going to be, How long is the system down, when doing the upgrade? The customers database is very basic, with 8 VM Ports.

If I were you I would take it to the latest rev if possible. Just remember that if you go to FP 4 there was hardware limitation on the MPB1 that would restrict it from being able to load FP 4.
As far as the system being down, 15 minutes or so. Do your back up first, convert the file with the correct version of windba and upload to a dnl file which you will use after the upgrade, do your upgrade, system reset, initialize and load the dnl file that you converted in windba and one last reset after you load your back up database.
