I have this old BBS TELECOM IPS416, working great, but the EPROM seems to be too old, it doesn't hold the memory.
Perhaps, any of you guys have one of these EPROMS?

Are you talking about programming memory or smdr? If programming, is it after a power loss? I ve looked in my documentation but doesn't discuss this but I imagine that there is a battery on board that is failing. I'll look to see if I can find it in the one at the shop tommorrow. If it is smdr be aware that it only holds 120 records and they are only for outgoing calls.

Guido,

I looked on the main board of our 308 at the office and couldn't find a battery but found several capacitors in the upper left corner, one of these probably holds the memory in the eprom. I usualy don't try to fix an issue like this. What I would do would be to put it on a decent UPS and make sure I had download of the programing with the IPS software. If you don't have a copy, you can download it at https://www.bbstelecom.com/.

HTH,

Kerry

Wow! I just went to their website. It looks like they haven't changed at all since we were selling them (which was for a short time, but long enough to end up with one or two still out there). To make matters worse, the guy who we normally sent to work on them just recently quit! Oh well, maybe we'll have a new sales opportunity here. smile
