Jerry,
Just noticed your post. I've been dealing with talkswitch for years. for the bucks, it's a great little unit. with some unique features.

Hello there... I also have a 24CA for my home. Its very nice. I need some advice now that I want to expand it beyond one phone without running cable through the house. An example is the VTech VT40-2421 where there is one "hub" that can be stationed next to the Talkswitch allowing me to expand wirelessly. The Vtech is a terrible phone (I had it and got rid of it). Is anyone aware of a similar designed phone that is 5.8Ghz?

Just about every cordless mfg makes a multi handset system. Uniden, Panasonic etc. Nowadays best place is your local electroncs outlet.
Be aware that the talkswitch IS a pbx so if you connect a base to the ts24 it doesn't matter how many handsets you have behind the base. They will all be one extension, so if you need to be able to have more than one call you have to get a 2 line. Then line1 will become ext 112 and line 2 will become ext 113(or what ever port you connect the lines to)

That was the beauty of using the VT40-2421. I had only one phone line connected to the TS. I then had the 4-line VT4-2421 base station connected to the TS with cordelss handsets scattered around the house. I then had 4 virtual "house" lines: one for the home one line each for my three kids. They each had their own voice mail, after-hours messages, etc. I had it set up that if a call came in for one of the kids (by selecting an extention) only their phone would ring. The only problem was that the 2.4Ghz was interferring with the wireless LAN and was terrible. I am now looking for a similar set-up (4-line base station w/ 5.8Ghz cordless expansion).
