The Seimens got me down again! Does anyone know what this part number is?
S30807-Q6917-A103
It is a peripheral board that has a ribbon cable that goes to the TMGL4 and mounts in the very front of the cabinet. Do I need this card to hookup additional trunks or can I use the TMGL4 by itself? The more I work with this boat anchor, the less I like it! I got certified on the SD-192 (yes, I've REALLY been doing this that long!) but this system is really poorly put together. Any help?

I am sorry that you are not familiar enough with the parts on the HiCom systems to resolve this issue, but that is really not Siemens fault, calling them and the 150 "Stinkin'" and not put together well is not the issue. Calling these systems as such will not lend much help.

The board in question is responsible for ANI on that system, it supports 4 trunks per board. For more help on that system I would recomend getting a certified tech that knows what parts are what. The 150 is a fine system that had been migrated to newer HiPath 3000 systems, but they are still fine and not a "boat anchor" in my opinion. Unfamiliarity will always lend to missimpressions.

It's an ANI card needed for caller ID. You do not need to connect it if you do not subscribe to caller ID.

If you do need it you connect the wire harness (S1, S2 ,S3 or which ever connector you are using for the trunks) to the ANI card and the ribbon cable connects to the TMGL4.

Hope that helps
