I have a customer that just started having problems when cell phone users call their AA. When the AA answers and the caller dials a 3 digit extension number, they are connected to the wrong extension(ie: dials 118 & rings 111 or 100 or sometimes even the operator!) There isn't a problem when calling from a land line.
The system in question is an Atlas KDX-500 with 50J software and an AVMjr version 6.00.
The system has been in for about 5 years and not had this problem before. Key System US tech support did not have a solution. Already tried replacing AVMjr, trunk card and SLU card with no change in symptoms.
Anyone else have similar problem/solution??

I am sure it is not all cell phone calls that give problems.I think it has something to do with how the cellphones are sending the DTMF signals.
The best option is then to have all cellphone calls routed to the operator, if possible, who can then transfer to the right extensions.

I doubt if it is in your equipment.
With CLECS going from straight copper to IAD technology--and Cell Phone companies changing how they transmit signals----all have an effect on DTMF signals, and also on voice quality.
In the last 6 months, we've seen alot of strange issues with cell phones, DTMF transmission, auto attendants, modems--etc. etc. etc. It's not going to stop---it will get worse before it gets better.
The teenagers don't care. They send text messages. What used to be voice networks are now data networks--and vice versa.
I can't understand my grandaughters when they talk---either on the phone or face to face. They mumble. But they can text message at around 60 characters per minute. Go figure.
I'll stop now---my blood pressure is rising.

Skip: I have verifed the problem using 3 cell phones on 2 different carriers. It does work correctly 1 out of 3 or 4 attempts.
G.F.S.: Unfortunately your suggestion is not an option, all incoming calls are answered by the AA.
I'm not sure that there is a solution to this problem, but I wanted to run it past you guys on the off chance someone might have found a fix.
