Need a really good cordless phone that will work well in a mountainous terrain.

We are in the process of getting a new phone system installed, but we currently have analog lines in the location in question, but need to have to ability to roam throughout our property- again, terrain is very rough and hilly so that will need to be taken into account.

Try the EnGenius with an external antenna

Merritt has your answer, for sure.

I bought four of the Engenius DuraFon 1X for a client with an enormous warehouse (which was stacked high with sheetmetal). Although quite expensive, I am very impressed by their performance.

For the particular model that I had success with, see https://www.engeniustech.com/Telecom/products/details.aspx?id=103. The reach in an environment like yours is reported to be 3,000 acres.

We included Engenius with our motel systems as an admin phone. Installed Base on 2nd floor except on 1 floor properties. Put the external antenna in the attic. Only complaint we ever got was from the owner that couldn't use it at the convenience store, TWO BLOCKS AWAY! It worked OK until he went inside the METAL building! 'Nuff said! John C. (Not Garand)
