Has anyone heard of this company from Tennessee? They are trying to get us to do some work thru them and I'm not sure about it.

Apparently, they are sub-contracting for NET. We had to quit doing work for NET because they were taking 5-7 months to pay their bills.

Thanks!

If they are still subbing for Net I would be incline to tell them no, Or make them sign a contract stating your conditions before hand.

Thanks DTMF. I did tell them no. I would think that someone on this board would have done business with them...

What ever they say their name (and there are a LOT of these companys out there). is in my opinion they are all out to stick it to the little guy. Yes you may get paid in the beginning (very low hourly rate) once your working it goes from 30 to 60 to 90 to 120 to never received this or its not right to its in the mail. PS Thanks for letting me vent. Have a good weekend and God Bless all the Veterans.

I don't know if it will help but, when I do sub work for places like that I always collect from the customer that gets the work done that way it's between them and the company that is in charge of there account. Otherwise I tell them no.

When we did any work for any company we where told not to say who we worked for only tell them we are from ,their company , so it would be pretty hard to get them to pay us or our company, the answer would be We didn't contract you to do the work we contracted (what ever company sent us) so why would we pay you.So we just stopped doing work for any National Company that had all these so called accounts.

Thornhil,
I hear ya brother!
I to have ran into places that tell us not to say who we are but to tell them that we are from there company. In those cases they are to have a check in my office before I will do the job, if they aren't willing to do that then they are told no. There are way to many outfits that think they can have you drop everything to do there job and then think they can dictate the payments as they see fit, I don't put up with it and let them know up front.

On the same note I do have a few companies that we do sub work for that pay in 15 days ever time it's due. So there are a few good ones out there and over time you will find them.

Sorry I didn't catch this post earlier. We did 4 small jobs in '04 for TSI for a total of about $600. Then we did 3 jobs from '07-08 for another $800. I never had any payment problems working with them. Our smallest invoice was for $100 & the largest was for $528. So far I have had no concerns. Has anyone here been taken advantage of by them or are these concerns just general ones?

We just turned them over to our collection agency for not paying their invoices. I have since heard of another company in this area where they pulled the same thing on. They pay you just long enough to build up some history, then stop paying and call another sub-contractor.
