I can't say for sure, but to me, it looks like it is some sort of a Do-It-Yourself kit.

It's certainly an amplifier...but beyond that, who knows.

Tubes are all missing and it looks like one transformer is fried time for the trash can and replace it with a new amp.

Thank's for the reply so far... Still looking for info on this. I have most of the tubes, removed them to clean the Paging amp. it powers up OK, Both Trany are fine. Would like to find a schematic for it but without being able to identify it.... This is what it looked like when I got it. It's an interesting looking item. It looks like it was made to be mounted inside a cabinet of sorts.
Is it a hobby for you to restore something like this or do you hope to actually begin using it for some application?

Hi MNDave,
It's a hobby... I'm in home automation for a living (Crestron and Lutron)
I have converted Bogen PA's into nice Guitar amps and some of these older units make great vintage HI-FI units or great Guitar amps... Identifying the unit may help me find a schematic where I could possibly see all the different types of use I could get.
....I could just wire 20 or 30 speakers to it and have great outdoor music or in the garage...lol
I just like getting information ahead of time before undertaking any work.
Finding some use for these old items is fun. The building were it came from has been upgraded in every way imaginable. I just don't have any details as to what exactly this was used for and what brand it is.

My guess would be McGohan or Stromberg but I never have seen line matching transformers that look like that.

Someone gutted it and it looks like they mounted it on a board. I've seen those knobs before, but I can't remember where. I've checked out the amps that I have, McGohan, Grommes-Precision, Bogen---and nothing looks like yours. The closest thing I can think of is Realistic---something like this https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=139&acctid=369 maybe. But it's hard to say.

What are you looking to do with it? I t looks like someonthing we might see in Thomas Edison's workshop and belongs in a museum. Definetly not something I would want to touch or try and bring back to life. I think my wife would shoot me if I brought something home like that to add to the collection of eauipment I have accumulating in the basement.
