Howdy!
OK. . .let me start by saying that I am flying by the seat of my pants in doing the admin of this system. I am more used to Avaya/Lucent and Nortel PBXs.
With that out of the way, let me give you the problem. I have two lines on my site that will ring and ring and not transfer to VM after X amount of rings. They will ring and ring forever in night mode without going to VM and in day mode they will ring way too many times before going back to the operator.
I know I caused this by changing a setting on the lines (one of them is mine) because I was experimenting ( I know, I know. . .whadda dope I am) with some settings on these lines with regard to call forwarding. being a forest for the trees kind of guy, I figured that it would natch be a system programming issue. Huh. When I found out that it was a simple Speaker - > 43 -> Dial Destination -> Speaker on the phone in question. . .you would of thought I would have changed the settings back while they were still fresh in my mind. Right. Did I mention that I can be a dope? I have been going through all of the telephone mode 4 settings on a line that I know works and found that all of the settings on the good line and the bad lines are virtually the same (excepting the obvious). BTW, I have to use the Multiline Term for programming as no PC was set up for programming.
So. . .if anyone is so inclined to help me out here, I would be most appreciative.

I have tried deleting the boxes and setting them to new. . .that did not work. Any insight to help me in the right direction would be great!

Hi, Are the lines programmed to ring directly to voicemail ? If they are then check memory block 3-42 and 3-43. If you want the lines to delay ring on VM ten program the voicemail ports to delay ring in memory block 4 -01 and 4 - 02

Thank you for your response. To answer your question. . .no, the lines are supposed to ring for the default number of times before going to VM. I will check the memory blocks you mentioned and let you know if the settings there needed adjustment to right the problem. With the phones. I'm going to require other help on another type of board. = ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/wink.gif)

The memory blocks mentioned don't appear to be related to the problems I am experiencing.
I should add that the lines I refer to are in fact extensions. I have posted this question on another board and someone tasked me and my usage of telecom terms to be more specific in my use of them. My bad. . .I'm more of a computer HW/SW guy.
Anyone got any ideas? Please? Muchas gracias!

Please explain again what is not working. Explain how calls come into your system & where it is failing.

I'm not sure if what I say will come out differently than I've already stated but I will give it a try. An outside caller will call into the opertaor. The operator will then transfer the call to the extension in question. If the call is not picked up after the default number of rings, it is supposed to go into voice mail. With the extensions in question, the calls are not going into voice mail. They will ring and ring. In day mode, they will eventually be returned to the operator. In night mode, it will ring indefinitely. Any ideas or even a straight up solution would be most appreciated! Thanks for taking a look at my hopeless drivel..... ![[Linked Image from sundance-communications.com]](https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/wink.gif)

You need to activate call forwarding for calls to overflo to VM. Press speaker, press 43, press lead VM hunt number, press speaker. If you access code is something other than default, you can find that in MB 1-1-47. Hope this helps.
